Presentation: Development of interpersonal relations for children with autism
Abstract:
“Social interactions involve things that people know by themselves” is the phrase that started the interest in finding out as much as possible about the socialization part of children with autism, especially because, as stated by Hans Asperger, those with autism spectrum disorder must process social adaptation in stages. That is precisely why it is essential that the social adaptation of children with ASD takes place in a unitary, phased manner, to provide numerous social contexts where the child with autism is presented and given the opportunity to develop as much as possible in this field, so that the target objective is reached, namely that of forming lasting and fruitful social relationships.
- The focus will be on what socialization represents, the difference between socialization in typical children vs. atypical children, its importance, subsequent benefits, how socialization can be developed, how the social relations can be created (ideas, phases).
